SUMMARY OF FWF DISCUSSIONS

Discussion from LAXFWFSGX

WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN DRY THROUGH NEXT WEEK WITH A NOTED
WARMING TREND. THE MARINE LAYER WILL BECOME SHALLOWER EACH DAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT STRENGTHENS. THEN ANOTHER
TROUGH MAY BRING MUCH COOLER WEATHER AND GUSTY ONSHORE WINDS BY
NEXT WEEKEND.

Discussion from LAXFWFLOX

COOL AND RELATIVELY MOIST CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW AND A WEAK BUT DEEP
MARINE LAYER IMPACTS THE REGION. SOME DRYING IN THE HIGHER
TERRAIN IS EXPECTED ON SUNDAY HOWEVER. BREEZY ONSHORE CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED OVER INTERIOR SECTIONS EACH AFTERNOON. COLD AIR ALOFT
WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM OVER THE
MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. A GRADUAL WARMING
TREND IS EXPECTED AFTER THE WEEKEND AS HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS AND
ONSHORE FLOW WEAKENS. THIS WILL BRING SOME DRYING TO THE FOOTHILLS
AND MOUNTAINS AS THE MARINE LAYER DEPTH SHRINKS BELOW 1500 FT. THE
LATEST COMPUTER MODELS CONTINUE TO TREND COOLER FOR THE END OF
NEXT WEEK. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR GUSTY NORTHWESTERLY WINDS
ON FRIDAY...POSSIBLY TURNING OFFSHORE OVER NEXT WEEKEND.

Discussion from SFOFWFHNX

A WEAK UPPER LOW WILL LIFT NORTHEAST ACROSS THE
DISTRICT TONIGHT AND INTO NEVADA BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. A CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA
THROUGH SUNDAY...WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE ALSO NEAR FRAZIER PARK IN
KERN COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO REBUILD
SUNDAY FOR A GRADUAL WARMING AND DRYING TREND THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

Discussion from RNOFWFVEF

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL LIFT FROM CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
ACROSS NORTHERN NEVADA TODAY. DRIER AIR WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD FROM
SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST THROUGH THE DAY CAUSING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO DISSIPATE OVER THE SOUTHERN SIERRA...THE SOUTHERN
GREAT BASIN AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA BY THIS EVENING. DRY CONDITIONS
AND ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED THE FIRST HALF OF THE
COMING WEEK FOLLOWED BY A SIGNIFICANT COOLING TREND GOING INTO THE
WEEKEND.

Discussion from PHXFWFPSR

DRIER AIR MOVING OVER SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWEST ARIZONA WILL
KEEP THUNDERSTORM CHANCES LIMITED TO SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA TODAY.
ADDITIONAL DRYING MONDAY WILL KEEP STORM CHANCES SMALL AND LIMITED TO
THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA. ACCORDINGLY...HUMIDITIES
TREND DOWNWARD FROM WEST TO EAST THOUGH OVERNIGHT RECOVERY REMAINS
FAIR TO GOOD. WINDS WILL FAVOR SOUTHERLY DIRECTIONS AGAIN TODAY WITH
MORE LIGHT AND VARIABLE CONDITIONS MONDAY.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
