SPOT FORECAST FOR OPP 08...U.S. FOREST SERVICE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL
702 AM CDT TUE MAY 31 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 0830 CDT ON MAY 31.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY THIS
AFTERNOON AS THE SEA BREEZE MOVES INLAND ACROSS THE SITE. ANY THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING OCCASIONAL FLASHES OF CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF DOWNPOURS
OF HEAVY RAIN. THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS COULD ALSO PRODUCE WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH.
ANY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD DISSIPATE A FEW HOURS AFTER SUNSET. SIMILAR WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE ANTICIPATED FOR WEDNESDAY.

FOG POTENTIAL AND OTHER REMARKS...PATCHY FOG MAY BE SEEN DURING THE PRE-DAWN
HOURS IF PRECIPITATION FALLS AT THE SITE.
