THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE
NORTHERN PERMIAN BASIN...SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS...GUADALUPE
AND DAVIS MOUNTAINS THROUGH THIS EVENING. A FEW STORMS COULD
PRODUCE BRIEF GUSTY WINDS OVER 50 MPH...SMALL HAIL...FREQUENT
LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...
INCLUDING PRESIDIO...LAJITAS AND THE BIG BEND AREA. DUE TO THE
INTENSE HEAT ACROSS THE AREA...TAKE THE APPROPRIATE SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO AVOID HEAT RELATED
ILLNESS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB THROUGH THE WEEK...WITH MOST
AREAS OTHER THAN THE MOUNTAINS SEEING TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100
DEGREES...AND TEMPERATURES ABOVE 105 DEGREES DEVELOPING IN THE
PECOS AND RIO GRANDE VALLEY BY THURSDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL
CONTINUE TO SLOWLY INCREASE ACROSS SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND
SOUTHWEST TEXAS THROUGH SATURDAY. EXCESSIVE HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE
EXTENDED IN TIME AND EXPANDED TO COVER A LARGER AREA AS THE WEEK
PROGRESSES DUE TO VERY HOT DAYTIME TEMPERATURES AND WARM NIGHTS.
