A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA EARLY SATURDAY
BRINGING THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES THUS FAR THIS SEASON DURING THE
UPCOMING WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES INLAND MAY REACH NEAR FREEZING BOTH
SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY NIGHT. THE GREATER POTENTIAL FOR
FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND WIDESPREAD FROST IS EXPECTED TO BE SUNDAY
NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING AS WINDS DIMINISH.

STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED NEAR THE COAST LATE SATURDAY
THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY. MINOR COASTAL FLOODING WILL BE A POSSIBILITY
FOR DOWN EAST CARTERET COUNTY LATE SATURDAY INTO EARLY SUNDAY.

NORTHWEST WINDS MAY GUST AS HIGH AS 45 TO 55 MPH AT TIMES ACROSS
THE OUTER BANKS LATE SATURDAY INTO EARLY SUNDAY. THESE WINDS WILL
LIKELY LEAD TO MINOR SOUND SIDE FLOODING ALONG THE OUTER BANKS
WITH WATER LEVELS INCREASING 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL.
