THIS STATEMENT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:

  COASTAL WATERS FROM PORT MANSFIELD TX TO THE RIO GRANDE RIVER OUT
  20 NM.
  WATERS FROM PORT MANSFIELD TX TO THE RIO GRANDE RIVER FROM 20 TO 60
  NM.

  AND IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT.

  AT 638 PM CDT...RADAR AND SATELLITE WAS TRACKING A LARGE AREA OF
SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED STORMS ABOUT 100 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BROWNSVILLE
MOVING NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 30 KNOTS. IF THIS AREA HOLDS TOGETHER IT
MAY PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF GUSTS OVER 30 TO 35 KNOTS FOR SEVERAL
HOURS OVER THE SOUTHERN GULF OF MEXICO WATERS OF THE LOWER TEXAS
COAST. MARINERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO THIS ACTIVITY AND BE PREPARED
TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.  VERY ROUGH SEAS AND GUSTY WINDS WILL
CONTINUE ALL NIGHT.
