A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING
AREAS... SOUTHERN BAY OF GREEN BAY... NEARSHORE WATERS FROM STURGEON
BAY TO MANITOWOC... OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM STURGEON
BAY TO MANITOWOC...

AT 837 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS AND BRIEF
HEAVY RAINFALL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM NEAR PESHTIGO REEF LIGHT TO NEAR BAY SHORE PARK TO 15
NM NORTHEAST OF OSHKOSH...MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...LIGHTNING STRIKES...AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK
SAFE HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
