...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS TODAY ACROSS THE INNER
COASTAL WATERS AND PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERN OUTER WATERS...

GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN OVER THE COASTAL WATERS
SOUTH OF POINT CONCEPTION THIS MORNING AND WILL BE AS HIGH AS 25
TO 30 KNOTS THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THE WINDS WILL DIMINISH BUT
REMAIN BREEZY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE NEAR SHORE FROM VENTURA TO SANTA
MONICA BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS WHERE LOCAL GUSTS TO 30 KNOTS
WILL BE COMMON. IN ADDITION... NORTHEAST WINDS IN EXCESS OF 20
KNOTS WILL EXTEND OUT TO THE EASTERN SHORES OF SANTA CATALINA
ISLAND AND AVALON HARBOR AS WELL AS THE CHANNEL ISLANDS THROUGH
THIS AFTERNOON. HAZARDOUS SHORT PERIOD SEAS WILL ACCOMPANY THE
GUSTY WINDS.

MARINERS PLANNING TO TRAVEL IN THE IMPACTED AREAS SHOULD CLOSELY
MONITOR THE CONDITIONS BEFORE VENTURING OUT.
