ALONG A CUMULUS CLOUD LINE SITUATED FROM KEY WEST EAST SOUTHEASTWARD
TO ACROSS BIG COPPITT AND SUGAR LOAF KEY AND CONTINUING EASTWARD
INSIDE HAWK CHANNEL TO BETWEEN BIG PINE SHOAL AND SOMBRERO KEY
LIGHT. OTHER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ON
EITHER SIDE OF THE KEYS BETWEEN GRASSY KEY UP TO KEY LARGO...AS WELL
AS IN THE OFFSHORE GULF WATERS 20 TO 60 NM WEST OF MAINLAND MONROE
COUNTY....BUT A FEW OF THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS COULD CROSS THIS
SECTION OF THE ISLANDS AS WELL. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO ONE HALF OF
AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN A FEW SPOTS. MARINERS AND MOTORISTS IN THE
PATH OF THE STRONGEST SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY
ENCOUNTER BRIEF PERIODS OF VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACCOMPANIED BY
VISIBILITY LESS THAN 3 MILES...ISOLATED WIND GUSTS BETWEEN 25 AND 35
MPH...AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO SURFACE LIGHTNING STRIKES. MOVEMENT OF
THESE CELLS IS TO THE EAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.
