.A STRENGTHENING SURFACE LOW OVER THE TEXAS PANHANDLE HAS RESULTED
IN GUSTY WEST WINDS ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. THIS
LOW WILL REDEVELOP AND CONTINUE TO IMPACT WINDS THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING. SPECIFICALLY...ACROSS THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF DAVIS MOUNTAINS...WHERE WIND SPEEDS WILL
REACH OR EXCEED HIGH WIND CRITERIA THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.
VERY WINDY CONDITIONS CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE EDDY COUNTY
PLAINS...VAN HORN AND HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR...AND REEVES COUNTY AND
THE UPPER TRANS PECOS. WIND SPEEDS WILL SUBSIDE THIS EVENING BUT
ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE AGAIN ON FRIDAY. HOWEVER WINDS WILL
REMAIN ELEVATED ACROSS THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS OVERNIGHT.

  ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS.

* IMPACTS...MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE
  DRIVING IN THE HIGH WIND WARNING AREA. BE ALERT TO SUDDEN GUSTS
  OF WIND THAT MAY CAUSE YOU TO LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE.
  PLANES FLYING OVER THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS WILL LIKELY
  EXPERIENCE SEVERE TURBULENCE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING.  SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
