Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
A surface trough will develop over the NW waters today, then
pivot over the central waters Friday through Sunday. A disturbance
aloft will bring the potential for strong thunderstorms to the
waters through Sunday. The trough will dampen and shift W of the
Hawaiian islands early next week as high pressure builds to the
distant NE.

10 to 20 kt. E of trough, E to SE winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 5 to 9
ft, highest far NW waters. Scattered thunderstorms NW half.
.FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT...Trough from 25N156W to 18N161W. W of
trough, N to NE winds 5 to 20 kt. E of trough, E to SE winds 5 to
15 kt. Seas 4 to 10 ft, highest far NW waters. Scattered
thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY...TROUGH FROM 25N155W to 18N160W. W of trough, NE to E
winds 10 to 20 kt. E of trough, E to SE winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 5
to 9 ft. Scattered thunderstorms E of 160W.
