OKANOGAN VALLEY...HIGHLANDS...WATERVILLE PLATEAU AND WESTERN
PORTIONS OF COLUMBIA BASIN...

...DRY COLD FRONT TO BRING GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES THROUGH SUNDAY...

.GUSTY WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH A DRY AIR MASS TO PRODUCE A
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS WILDFIRE ENVIRONMENT TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.
WINDS WILL BE CHANNELED DOWN THE OKANOGAN VALLEY AND ACROSS THE
WATERVILLE PLATEAU INTO THE WESTERN COLUMBIA BASIN. POOR OVERNIGHT
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES ARE EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY ALONG RIDGETOPS
WHERE THEY WILL SEE GUSTY WINDS AS WELL. CRITICAL HUMIDITIES WILL
RETURN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING IN THE OKANOGAN
VALLEY...HIGHLANDS...AND WESTERN BASIN WITH WINDS REMAINING GUSTY
UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON.

* AFFECTED AREA: FIRE WEATHER ZONE 673 EAST WASHINGTON NORTHERN
  COLUMBIA BASIN (ZONE 673)...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 684 EAST
  WASHINGTON OKANOGAN/METHOW VALLEYS (ZONE 684) AND FIRE WEATHER
  ZONE 687 EAST WASHINGTON OKANOGAN HIGHLANDS (ZONE 687).

* WINDS: NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITIES: 4 TO 12 PERCENT IN THE VALLEYS AND 12 TO
  20 PERCENT OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

* IMPACTS: RAPID FIRE SPREAD IS POSSIBLE WITH EXISTING FIRES OR
  NEW FIRE STARTS IN THE AREA.

* TIMING: WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY WILL CREATE RED FLAG CONDITIONS
  TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. A DRY COLD FRONT WILL ENHANCE WINDS OVERNIGHT
  AND USHER VERY DRY MIDLEVEL AIR INTO THE REGION. WINDS WILL
  REMAIN GUSTY THROUGH MIDDAY SUNDAY AND CRITICAL HUMIDITIES ARE
  EXPECTED TO RETURN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

  (ZONE 686).

* TIMING: WINDS WILL COME WITH A DRY COLD FRONT PASSAGE WHICH IS
  MOVING THROUGH NOW. THESE WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST
  SUNDAY MORNING. VERY DRY AIR BEHIND THE FRONT WILL BRING THE
  POTENTIAL TO KEEP HUMIDITIES NEAR CRITICAL THRESHOLDS UNTIL
  SUNDAY MORNING. BETTER RECOVERIES WILL BE POSSIBLE IN PEND
  OREILLE COUNTY.

* WINDS: RIDGETOP WINDS: NORTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35
  MPH...BECOMING NORTHEAST AFTER 0100 PDT. VALLEY WINDS: 8 TO 14
  MPH WITH SPORADIC GUSTS TO 30 MPH POSSIBLE.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITIES: 11 TO 18 PERCENT IN THE VALLEYS EARLY IN
  THE EVENING...RECOVERING 25-40 PERCENT SUNDAY MORNING. IN THE
  MOUNTAINS...18 TO 28 PERCENT IN THE EVENING RECOVERING 30 TO 40
  PERCENT EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS: RAPID FIRE SPREAD IS POSSIBLE WITH EXISTING FIRES OR
