SUNSHINE CONTINUED TO BE ABUNDANT ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS. LATE AFTERNOON
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE 80S.

IN THE LATE AFTERNOON HIGH PRESSURE WAS LOCATED FROM NEW ENGLAND
TO THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY...WITH LOW PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN
PLAINS. SOUTHERLY WINDS BETWEEN THESE TWO SYSTEMS WILL BRING
INCREASING MOISTURE AND WARMER AIR INTO THE MIDWEST THROUGH
TUESDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOW 90S TUESDAY. DRY
CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM BRINGS THE CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND STORMS TUESDAY
EVENING AND TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. THE GREATEST THREAT WILL
BE HEAVY RAINFALL...WITH STRONG WIND GUSTS AND LARGE HAIL ALSO
POSSIBLE.
