...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 524 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of thunderstorms 5
miles to the southwest of Orchard Mesa moving to the northeast at 25
mph.

Half inch hail will be possible with this storm along with heavy
rainfall and occasional lightning.

Locations impacted include...
Grand Junction, Palisade, Parachute, Collbran, De Beque, Mesa,
Battlement Mesa, Cameo, Fruitvale, Molina, Clifton, Orchard Mesa and
Redlands.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 31 and 88.
 U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 32 and 41.
 Colorado 65 between mile markers 48 and 61.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 152 and 162.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
