...THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES SO FAR THIS SEASON EXPECTED TONIGHT
AND FRIDAY NIGHT...

THE FAST-MOVING COLD FRONT THAT SWEPT THROUGH THE DISTRICT WEDNESDAY
EVENING USHERED IN A MUCH COOLER AND DRIER AIRMASS. WITH WINDS NOW
SUBSIDING...THE NET RESULT WILL BE OUR COLDEST TEMPERATURES SO FAR
THIS SEASON.

TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO AROUND FREEZING IN THE INLAND
VALLEYS BY LATE THURSDAY NIGHT WITH SOME AREAS OF FROST
DEVELOPING EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. EVEN CHILLIER TEMPERATURES ARE
THEN FORECAST TO OCCUR LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING WHEN TEMPERATURES IN THE COLDEST VALLEY LOCATIONS WILL DIP
INTO THE UPPER 20S. OVERNIGHT LOWS ELSEWHERE WILL RANGE FROM THE
30S TO LOWER 40S. WIDESPREAD FROST IS LIKELY ACROSS INLAND AREAS
LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

THOSE LIVING IN VALLEYS PRONE TO COLD CONDITIONS ON CLEAR CALM
WINTER NIGHTS SHOULD TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT FROST-SENSITIVE
PLANTS.
