...PERIODS OF MOUNTAIN SNOW THIS WEEKEND...

LATEST FORECAST TRENDS ARE STILL BRINGING IN SLIGHTLY MORE SNOW
AND LOWER SNOW LEVELS THAT MAY AFFECT TRAVELERS OVER THE SIERRA
FOR THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY WEEKEND. SNOW LEVELS MAY DROP AS LOW
AS 5500 FEET AROUND THE TAHOE BASIN AND TO THE VALLEY FLOORS
NORTH AND WEST OF SUSANVILLE AS COLDER AIR FILTERS IN FROM THE
NORTH. FORECAST CONFIDENCE IS MEDIUM FOR THE WEEKEND AND TRAVELERS
SHOULD CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES IN THE COMING DAYS.

PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL SPREAD SOUTHEAST FROM
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA INTO THE TAHOE BASIN LATE TONIGHT AND PERSIST
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW IS LIKELY SATURDAY
NIGHT INTO SUNDAY NIGHT. STORM TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS OVER THE
WEEKEND FOR THE TAHOE BASIN ABOVE 7000 FEET MAY BE AS MUCH AS 6 TO
12 INCHES AFFECTING TRAVEL OVER INTERSTATE 80...HIGHWAY 50 AND
OTHER MOUNTAIN HIGHWAYS.

FOR AREAS NORTH OF LAKE TAHOE...SEVERAL INCHES ARE POSSIBLE WEST
OF HIGHWAY 395 ABOVE 5500 FEET AFFECTING YUBA PASS AND FREDONYER
SUMMIT. SNOW LEVELS SHOULD BRIEFLY DROP TO THE VALLEY FLOORS NORTH
AND WEST OF SUSANVILLE WITH LIGHT SNOW IN THE DESERT VALLEYS OF
NORTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA AND WESTERN NEVADA.

ANYONE TRAVELING OVER THE SIERRA THIS WEEKEND SHOULD BE PREPARED
FOR WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS AND POTENTIAL DELAYS.
