MONTHLY TROPICAL WEATHER SUMMARY

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

One tropical cyclone formed in the basin in June, Tropical Storm
Bill.  Based on a 30-year (1981-2010) climatology, a named storm
forms in the basin in June about every other year, with a hurricane
forming once every 7 or 8 years.
