...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BIG ISLAND SUMMITS ABOVE
10500 FEET THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...

.Abundant low to mid level moisture will remain over the Big
Island through the holiday weekend. As a strong upper level
trough moves overhead today and tonight, moderate to heavy snow
showers and thunderstorms will likely develop.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on hazardous road conditions making
  travel to the summits dangerous. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4
  inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Big Island Summits above 10,500 feet.

* WHEN...through Monday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times. Heavy bursts of snow could also be accompanied by
  lightning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and
limited visibilities, and use extreme caution while driving.
