...The Frost/Freeze Headline Program Has Ended for All of Northern
and Eastern Maine...

Overnight lows at or below freezing in combination with widespread
frost last night over Southern Penobscot and most all of hancock
county officially ends the frost/freeze headline season for our
entire forecast area, comprising all of Aroostook, Piscataquis,
Penobscot, Washington, Hancock, and northern Somerset Counties.

For those individuals whose garden may have been spared, like those
who reside immediately adjacent to lakes/ocean, or are covering
their gardens to preserve them a while longer should now rely on
temperature forecasts to take any additional measures to extend the
life of your garden.

The Frost/Freeze program will start up again for these areas next
spring when the next official growing season begins.
