...LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WESTERN
BASIN OF LAKE ERIE...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM MAUMEE BAY OH TO AVON POINT OH...

AT 300 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 50 KNOTS. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED FROM LANSING MICHIGAN EXTENDING SOUTH TO
THE NORTHWEST TIP OF OHIO AND WESTWARD TO GARY INDIANA...MOVING EAST
AT 40 KNOTS. THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE WESTERN PORTIONS
OF LAKE ERIE BETWEEN 400 PM AND 430 PM.

THIS LINE OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN DANGEROUS AS IT MOVES
EASTWARD TOWARDS THE ISLANDS AND ON TOWARDS CLEVELAND. BOATERS
SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR SHORE BEFORE THESE STORMS ARRIVE.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
 TOLEDO AROUND 400 PM.
 THE ISLAND AROUND 430 PM.
 VERMILION AROUND 500 PM EDT.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THIS LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 50 KNOTS...AND IS LIKELY TO POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR
BOATERS. A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED WHEN THESE
STORMS REACH THE NEARSHORE WATERS.
