A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM VERMILION OH TO RIPLEY NY...

DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW THUNDERSTORMS ON LAKE ERIE EAST OF
VERMILION INCLUDING NEWLY DEVELOPED STORMS NORTH OF MENTOR AND
CONNEAUT. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 15 KNOTS AND
WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE WATERS EARLY TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD
CONSIDER SAFE HARBOR UNTIL THE STORMS PASS.
