A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM MAUMEE BAY OH TO RENO BEACH OH...

AT 217 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 10 NM EAST OF
GROSSE ILE TO NEAR NORTH CAPE...MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS.  THIS LINE
OF STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE WESTERN BASIN OF LAKE THROUGH LATE
AFTERNOON.   THE LINE WILL REACH THE ISLANDS BY 4 PM.  FREQUENT
LIGHTNING AND TORRENTIAL RAINS CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
