THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM AVON POINT OH TO RIPLEY NY...

AT 1118 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A PAIR OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS... CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN THE CANADIAN WATERS OF LAKE ERIE
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 26 NM NORTH OF ASHTABULA TO 35 NM NORTH
OF AVON POINT...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 KNOTS. GUSTY OUTFLOW AHEAD OF
THESE THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO BRING WINDS TO 30 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS. IF CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
