THE LOW WATER ADVISORY FOR THE WESTERN BASIN OF LAKE ERIE IS NOW
IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM WEDNESDAY. A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 10 PM THIS EVENING.

* WINDS: WEST-SOUTHWEST GALES TO 35 KNOTS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THIS
  EVENING THEN WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE.

* WAVES: WAVES OF 6 TO 9 FEET WILL SUBSIDE TO 5 TO 7 FEET THIS
  EVENING.

* LOW WATER: WATER LEVELS ON THE WESTERN BASIN OF LAKE ERIE WILL
  REMAIN BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION INTO TONIGHT.
  AT 4 AM THE WATER LEVEL AT TOLEDO WAS 16 INCHES BELOW LOW WATER
  DATUM...WHICH IS 18 INCHES BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE
  NAVIGATION. WATER LEVELS MAY REACH AS LOW AS 36 INCHES BELOW LOW
  WATER DATUM TODAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPER EQUIPMENT. MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER
EXPERIENCE SHOULD REMAIN IN HARBOR OR SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY.

A LOW WATER ADVISORY MEANS WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BELOW
THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. VESSELS MAY BOTTOM OUT OR
BECOME GROUNDED. CONTACT THE COAST GUARD FOR THE LATEST WATER
LEVEL. MARINERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION DURING LOW WATER
CONDITIONS OR CONSIDER WAITING UNTIL WATER LEVELS RISE.
