.A STRONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS LAKE ERIE TODAY AND
SOUTHWEST GALE FORCE WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS THE FRONT MOVES
THROUGH. GALE FORCE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH ON TUESDAY. THE
GALE FORCE WINDS WILL ALSO CAUSE LOW WATER TO DEVELOP ON THE
WESTERN BASIN STARTING THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING INTO
TUESDAY.

A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST TUESDAY. A LOW
WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 PM
EST TUESDAY.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 40 KNOT GALES THIS
  AFTERNOON. GALE FORCE WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY TUESDAY
  MORNING.

* WAVES:WAVES WILL BUILD TO 6 TO 9 FEET TODAY AND THEN SLOWLY
  SUBSIDE ON TUESDAY.

* LOW WATER: LOW WATER IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS EVENING ON
  WESTERN LAKE ERIE AS STRONG SOUTHWEST GALE FORCE WINDS OCCUR.
  THE WATER LEVEL CAN DROP AS LOW AS 4 FEET BELOW LOW WATER
  DATUM AND THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. THE WATER
  LEVEL SHOULD RETURN TO NORMAL LEVELS BY LATE TUESDAY
  AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPER EQUIPMENT. MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER
EXPERIENCE SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE
CONDITIONS.

A LOW WATER ADVISORY MEANS WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BELOW
THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. VESSELS MAY BOTTOM OUT OR
BECOME GROUNDED. CONTACT THE COAST GUARD FOR THE LATEST WATER
LEVEL. MARINERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION OR CONSIDER WAITING
UNTIL WATER LEVELS RISE.

  TO 15 FEET TONIGHT AND THEN SLOWLY SUBSIDE ON TUESDAY.
