THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A GALE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM EST
TUESDAY. A LOW WATER ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS LOW
WATER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM EST
TUESDAY.

* WINDS: WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 35 TO 40 KNOT GALES THIS EVENING
  AND CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY EVENING.

* WAVES: WAVES ARE EXPECTED TO BUILD TO 6 TO 9 FEET TONIGHT AND
  CONTINUE ON TUESDAY.

* LOW WATER: WATER LEVELS ON THE WESTERN BASIN OF LAKE ERIE WILL
  DROP SIGNIFICANTLY DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. WATER
  LEVELS WILL DROP BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION
  TONIGHT AND REMAIN BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR MUCH OF TUESDAY.
  THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION IS 2 INCHES ABOVE LOW
  WATER DATUM. RECENT AVERAGE WATER LEVELS ON WESTERN LAKE ERIE
  HAVE BEEN 26 INCHES ABOVE LOW WATER DATUM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT
OR OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPER EQUIPMENT. MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER
EXPERIENCE SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET
OF GALE CONDITIONS.

A LOW WATER ADVISORY MEANS WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE
BELOW THE CRITICAL MARK FOR SAFE NAVIGATION. VESSELS MAY BOTTOM
OUT OR BECOME GROUNDED. CONTACT THE COAST GUARD FOR THE LATEST
WATER LEVEL. MARINERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION DURING LOW WATER
CONDITIONS OR CONSIDER WAITING UNTIL WATER LEVELS RISE.
