Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure 29.90 inches over eastern Ohio will
gradually dissipate through Thursday. High pressure 30.20 inches
will move across the lake Friday and Saturday. A cold front will
stall just north of Lake Erie by Saturday night. Low pressure
29.50 inches will develop on the front over the western lakes and
move into Ontario on Sunday pulling the cold front across Lake
Erie late Sunday. A trough of low pressure 29.90 inches will
linger over the eastern lakes on Monday.

.OVERNIGHT...Northeast winds to 30 knots diminishing to
15 to 20 knots. Patchy fog. A chance of rain with patchy drizzle.
Waves 5 to 8 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.THURSDAY...Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southeast
5 to 15 knots. Patchy fog in the morning. A chance of rain and
drizzle in the morning. Waves 3 to 6 feet subsiding to 1 to
3 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...South winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 feet or
less.
.FRIDAY...Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming south. Waves
1 foot or less.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest.
Waves 1 foot or less.
.SATURDAY...Southwest winds 5 to 15 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SUNDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northwest.
Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms during the day,
then a chance of showers Sunday night. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.MONDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 15 knots becoming west. Waves 1 to
3 feet subsiding to 1 foot or less.
