Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure 29.20 inches east of James Bay will take
a cold front across Lake Erie this evening. High pressure 30.30
inches across the Ohio Valley and Lake Erie Wednesday will weaken
and allow a cold front to brush the Great Lakes Thursday. Low
pressure 28.90 inches will cross near James Bay and take a warm
front northeast across Lake Erie Friday and a cold front early
Saturday morning. High pressure 30.20 inches will begin to build
across the western lakes Sunday.

of rain showers early, then a chance of rain showers with a
slight chance of snow showers late this evening. Waves 3 to
5 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West winds 5 to 15 knots becoming southwest.
Waves 2 feet or less.
.THURSDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
