...New Daily Precipitation and Snowfall Records for January 8th
set at Grand Island, NE...

The 0.6 inches of total precipitation observed at the Grand
Island Airport yesterday breaks the old record of 0.35 inches set
in 1937.

A record snowfall of 7.0 inches was also set yesterday. This
breaks the old record of 4.0 inches, also set in 1937.

Precipitation and snowfall records at Grand Island date back to
1895.
