...Tropical Storm Cindy is Expected to Bring Potentially Heavy
Rainfall to the Area from Today into Saturday...

A tropical plume of moisture associated with Tropical Storm Cindy
will bring potentially heavy rains into east Tennessee, southwest
Virginia, and southwest North Carolina through Saturday morning.
The axis of heaviest precipitation may change based on the exact
track of the system, but computer models presently suggest that
the Cumberland Plateau may receive the highest amounts for our
area, with up to three inches of rainfall through the period.
Locally higher amounts are possible. Flooding may develop in
places where heavy rainfall occurs.

latest weather forecasts and hydrologic information on our
