...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  COASTAL WATERS FROM THE SOUTHWEST PASS OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO
  PORT FOURCHON LOUISIANA OUT 20 NM...

AT 546 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG
THUNDERSTORM...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THIS
THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER BARATARIA BAY. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS
MOVING EAST NEAR 5 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
BARATARIA BAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THIS IS A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WHICH WILL LIKELY PRODUCE WINDS TO
AROUND 30 KNOTS...AND COULD POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING MAY EVENTUALLY BE REQUIRED AS THIS STORM
MOVES INTO THE NEARSHORE WATERS. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR
SHORE BEFORE THE STORM ARRIVES.
