...LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL OVERNIGHT THROUGH THIS WEEKEND...

A LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WITH A LONG PERIOD WILL BUILD ALONG THE
CENTRAL COAST TONIGHT...PEAKING ON SATURDAY AT 13 TO 17 FEET.
SOME OF THIS LARGE SWELL ENERGY WILL ALSO SPREAD INTO THE INNER
COASTAL WATERS. DANGEROUS BREAKING WAVES WILL BE LIKELY AT THE MORRO
BAY HARBOR ENTRANCE...ESPECIALLY LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY EVENING.
FOR THE VENTURA HARBOR...LARGE BREAKING WAVES WILL BE POSSIBLE
SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. THESE CONDITIONS HAVE A HISTORY OF
CAPSIZING VESSELS OF VARIOUS SIZES RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH EVEN TO THE MOST EXPERIENCED MARINERS.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN SAFE HARBOR OR AVOID HARBOR
ENTRANCES UNTIL SEA CONDITIONS IMPROVE. PRIOR TO ENTERING HARBOR
ENTRANCES...IT IS ADVISED TO CONTACT LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR THE
LATEST WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS FOR SAFE PASSING. FOR THE
LATEST INFORMATION...CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR
