...WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG LINGERING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING NORTH OF
SAN NICOLAS ISLAND...

WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS NORTH
OF POINT CONCEPTION THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING AS A SHALLOW MARINE
LAYER REMAINS IN PLACE. DENSE FOG WILL PRIMARILY IMPACT THE
COASTAL WATERS NORTH OF SAN NICOLAS ISLAND INCLUDING THE SANTA
BARBARA CHANNEL AND CENTRAL COAST. MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED
FOR ABRUPT VISIBILITY CHANGES DOWN TO ONE NAUTICAL MILE OR
LESS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST. REDUCE SPEEDS AND BE
ON THE LOOKOUT FOR EXPOSED ROCKS AND OTHER VESSELS...AND USE RADAR
OR GPS NAVIGATION IF AVAILABLE.

MARINERS IN HARBOR...ESPECIALLY THOSE WITHOUT RADAR...SHOULD
CONSIDER REMAINING IN HARBOR AS DENSE FOG CAN OBSCURE EXPOSED
ROCKS AND OTHER VESSELS...INCLUDING LARGE SHIPS IN THE SHIPPING
LANES.
