...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE COASTAL OUTER WATERS
NORTH OF THE CHANNEL ISLANDS AND THE SANTA BARBARA CHANNEL
THROUGH THIS EVENING...

...LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL POSSIBLE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY IMPACTING
MORRO BAY HARBOR...

A MARGINALLY MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR MASS WITH A SHORTWAVE TROUGH
WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
OUTER COASTAL WATERS NORTH OF THE CHANNEL ISLANDS AS WELL AS THE
SANTA BARBARA CHANNEL THROUGH THIS EVENING. ANY THUNDERSTORM THAT
FORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS...ROUGH
SEAS...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

LATER IN THE WEEK...A DEVELOPING LARGE NORTHWESTERLY SWELL COULD
PRODUCE BREAKING WAVES AT THE MORRO BAY HARBOR ENTRANCE BETWEEN
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. IF THE LARGE SWELL DEVELOPS AS MODELED...THESE
CONDITIONS COULD POTENTIALLY CAPSIZE VESSELS OF VARIOUS SIZES
RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH...EVEN TO THE MOST
EXPERIENCED MARINERS. MARINERS ARE URGED TO STAY ADVISED OF THIS
IMPENDING DANGEROUS SITUATION. FOR MORE INFORMATION...CONTACT THE
LOCAL HARBOR PATROL OR COAST GUARD STATION...AND CONTINUE TO
MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
