Coastal Waters Forecasts...

.SYNOPSIS...A trough from near Pensacola Florida to a 1013 mb
low at 27N88W extends SW to just E of northeastern Mexico. The
trough and low will drift eastward through Monday as a cold
front presently from southeastern Louisiana to just S of
Brownsville Texas quickly moves across the NW and N central
waters. The cold front will reach the far SE Gulf early on
Wednesday and to the NW Caribbean Sea Wednesday night. Winds
behind the front are expected to reach gale force near Veracruz
Mexico from midday on Monday to Wednesday night. Strong high
pressure in the wake of the front will bring fresh to strong
northerly winds over much of forecast waters Wednesday
afternoon, then diminish through Thursday afternoon as the high
center shifts to the NE Gulf. The high will weaken on Friday as
another cold front moves across eastern Texas, and into the NW
Gulf on Friday night.
