DISCUSSION:

STORM NUMBER ONE IS CURRENTLY OVER L.A. COUNTY AND WILL EXIT THE
AREA LATER THIS MORNING. SHOWER ACTIVITY WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON IN A MOIST UNSTABLE FLOW. LIGHT RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL
OCCUR OVER SLO/SBA/VTA COUNTIES. LA COUNTY WILL SEE A HALF INCH TO
JUST UNDER AN INCH OF RAINFALL THIS MORNING.

A SECOND STORM IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE VERY EARLY FRIDAY AND WILL
AFFECT THE AREA THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY. IT WILL LIKELY BE SLIGHTLY
STRONGER THAN THE FIRST STORM. RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN 1 AND 2
INCHES WILL LIKELY FALL ACROSS THE COASTS AND VLYS WITH HIGHER
AMOUNTS ON THE COASTAL SLOPES. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
WITH THIS STORM AS WELL. SNOW LEVELS WILL BE LOWER WITH THIS SYSTEM
AS WELL.

A THIRD STORM IS EXPECTED SUNDAY WHICH HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR BEING
THE STRONGEST OF THE THREE. RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL PUT DOWN
1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WITH POSSIBLY MUCH HIGH AMOUNTS ON THE
COASTAL SLOPES. RAINFALL RATES WILL ALSO BE THE HIGHEST OF THESE
THREE STORMS. SNOW LEVELS ARE RATHER UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME AND
COULD BE HIGHER THAN EXPECTED. THE RAIN WILL TURN TO SHOWERS IN THE
EVENING AND PERSIST INTO MONDAY.
