The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20
  NM...
  Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60
  NM...
  Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60
  NM...

* Until 1115 AM EDT.

* At 1030 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 32 nm south of R2 Tower to 44 nm east of Guana River
  State Park to 22 nm east of Crescent Beach, moving east at 45
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher
           waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Buoy Hlha, Dorothy Louise Barge, Casablanca Reef, Tournament Reef,
  Anna Reef, Navy Drydock, and Buoy Cdh.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with these storms. If your vessel is
caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all
crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and
nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if
available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on
handheld radios, for readiness.
