...Drier Than Normal For June 2017...

Although rain did affect South Texas through the month, most of the
activity remained rather light and sporadic. It was more toward the
end of the month when the heaviest rain fell, especially across the
Coastal Bend. Rain totals for the month averaged 3 to 5 inches
generally east of Highway 281, while an average of 1 to 2 inches
fell west of Highway 281.

We did see hot temperatures this month as well being under stubborn
ridges. Monthly temperatures averaged 1 to 2 degrees above seasonal
normal.
