- Areas of frost are expected across interior portions of the Arrowhead
  overnight with temperatures falling into the low to mid 30s.

  throughout the weekend.

Stratus from earlier today have largely scattered out with
a diurnal Cu field taking their place. A couple of isolated
showers are possible this evening across north central
Minnesota and north central Wisconsin. Clouds will clear across
far northern Minnesota, allowing temperatures to fall into the
30s. With light east winds in place, areas of frost are expected
across interior portions of the Arrowhead. Mostly sunny skies
are expected Thursday, but CAA will keep temperatures in the 50s
and 60s. By late tomorrow night, a quick moving shortwave will
bring chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. With CAPE
values of 500-1000 J/kg in place, a few stronger storms are
possible, but things should remain sub-severe. QPF amounts will
be on the order of a few hundredths to a tenth of an inch.

Heading into the weekend, temperatures will warm into the 60s
with low 70s possible across central Minnesota. Showers and
thunderstorms are possible along and ahead of a warm front that
will move across eastern Minnesota late Saturday into Sunday.
Well be in the warm sector of this system through the day
Sunday with highs in the mid 70s except near Lake Superior.

The next chance for precip arrives early Tuesday with yet
another shortwave skirting along the Canadian border. This
system will hang around through the end of the period with
continued chances of showers and thunderstorms.

Easterly winds are expected through the period with VFR
conditions. A swath of mid and high level clouds continues to
move across northern Minnesota and Wisconsin with diurnal Cu
becoming more widespread through the afternoon. KDLH will see
slightly stronger winds than other terminals through tonight
with gusts around 20kts.

Small Craft Advisories continue through this afternoon and
evening before winds diminish. A similar setup to today is
expected Thursday where lighter winds overnight quickly give way
to increasing northeast winds and building wave heights.
Another round of advisories may also be needed Thursday
daytime.
