Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
248 PM PDT Fri May 3 2024

.DISCUSSION...A transient ridge of high pressure has departed to
our east, opening the door to a robust upper level trough that
will pass to our south over the weekend. Clouds will increase
this evening as precipitation begins along the Cascades before
becoming widespread across the area Saturday morning through
Sunday evening. This system will bring significant rainfall and
mountain snow, especially across central and north-central
Oregon. Breezy conditions will also occur, peaking through the
day on Sunday across the Simcoe Highlands, Kittitas/Yakima
Valleys, and the northern Blue Mountains and foothills.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
