At 1014 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Las Lomas, or near Garciasville, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rio Grande City, Starr County Sheriffs Office, La Puerta, Ringgold Middle School, Las Lomas, Rio Grande City Fire Department, Santa Cruz, Fort Ringgold County Park, Rio Grande City Library, and Rio Grande City--roma.
