Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
201 AM MDT Tue Mar 19 2024
.DISCUSSION...
Above average temperatures expected through much of this week with
elevated fire weather conditions possible today and Thursday.
Winds will generally be light today, but portions of east-central
Wyoming could see gusts 20-25 mph with afternoon RHs hovering
around 20 percent. Stronger downsloping winds off the Laramie
Range are more likely Thursday as areas of eastern Wyoming and
western Nebraska could see afternoon RHs drop into the teens,
approaching critical thresholds. Precipitation chances will
increase towards the end of the week into this weekend.
