...Summer 2017 Summary...

The meteorological summer (June through August 2017) was drier and
warmer than normal. The driest conditions occurred from extreme
southeast Wyoming across the southern Nebraska Panhandle where
precipitation deficits ranged from three to six and a half inches.
The was a long stretch of hot temperatures in July. Chadron Nebraska
registered 25 consecutive days with high temperatures at or above
90 degrees.
