URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...RED FLAG CONDITIONS OVER THE PLAINS OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON...

.A VERY DRY AIRMASS HAS CAUSED RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES TO FALL
TO 13-15 PERCENT IN AREAS TO THE EAST OF THE LARAMIE RANGE. WEST
TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO GUST TO 25-30 MPH THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON. THE COMBINATION OF LOW HUMIDITIES AND GUSTY WINDS WILL
CAUSE RAPID FIRE GROWTH IF ANY FIRES DEVELOP.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONES 301 AND 310.

* WIND...WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 25 TO 35 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...12-15 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY.
  OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY.  A COMBINATION OF
