054 FNUS52 KFFC 101851 FWFFFC Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 251 PM EDT Fri May 10 2024 .DISCUSSION... No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time. Compared to the past few days, dry weather will prevail across North and Central Georgia through the weekend as high pressure sets up across the Southeast. Skies will continue to clear through the afternoon with the passage of the cold front. RH values are already beginning to dip into the 40s/50s across far North Georgia this afternoon and this trend will continue further south. Winds will continue to shift more to the NW with speeds 8 to 15 MPH with gusts nearing 18 to 22 MPH behind the front. NW winds continue on Saturday at 7 to 12 MPH with gusts nearing 20 MPH across far North Georgia. Drier air filtering into the region will result in lower RH values on Saturday with current forecast values in the 30 to 40 percent range.
