This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

An upper level disturbance will bring scattered showers and possibly
a few rumbles of thunder late this afternoon and evening to
northeast Utah and northwest Colorado, spreading into the northern
and central Colorado mountains overnight. Accumulating snow will be
confined to elevations above 8500-9000 feet with amounts less than 2
inches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A more substantial storm is likely to impact the region Saturday
night through Sunday night bringing widespread mountain snow and
valley rain. Snowfall amounts up to a foot or more are possible by
early Monday morning. A series of disturbances will keep the weather
unsettled through the middle of next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
