...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN PICKENS COUNTY THROUGH
415 PM EDT...

At 332 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northwest of Pickens, or 5 miles east of Jocassee Gorges,
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Easley, Pickens, Table Rock State Park, Jocassee Gorges, Sunset,
Pumpkintown, Dacusville, Nine Times, and Rocky Bottom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
