...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN LEAKE AND
SOUTHERN NESHOBA COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
central and east central Mississippi.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN JASPER...SOUTHEASTERN RANKIN...SOUTHERN NEWTON...
NORTHERN SMITH AND SOUTHERN SCOTT COUNTIES...

At 1128 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Dixon to near Lawrence to near Pineville, moving east
at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Newton, Montrose, Lawrence, and Roberts around 1135 PM CDT.
  Garlandville around 1140 PM CDT.
  Hickory around 1145 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
