.DISCUSSION...

Gusty southwest to west winds are expected today, with very low
relative humidity values of 25 to 35 percent over most of the
area. This may lead to elevated fire weather conditions over some
areas this afternoon.

Scattered showers and some thunderstorms are then expected with a
cold front by middle afternoon into early evening. Winds will
shift north behind the cold front this evening, with gusty north
winds tonight bringing colder air.

High pressure to the east of the region Wednesday will gradually
move further east by Thursday. This will bring light winds and
clear skies for Wednesday, with light to modest southeast winds
for Thursday. Very low relative humidity values are expected
Wednesday afternoon away from the lake, with low relative humidity
values for Thursday afternoon in the same areas.

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are looking more likely for
Friday into the upcoming weekend, with gradually warmer and more
humid conditions and gusty winds.
