SOUTH DAKOTA...AND WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA TODAY...BRINGING
GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS AND DRY AIR TO THE REGION. ALTHOUGH THE
STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED THIS MORNING...WINDS AROUND 25 MPH
WITH GUSTS NEAR 40 MPH WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE AFTERNOON ACROSS
THE WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS. WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY
NEAR 15 PERCENT...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS MUCH OF THE WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS.

SOUTH CENTRAL SD MAY SEE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS
AFTERNOON...BUT SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.
