This Hazardous weather outlook is for portions of south central
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible over south
central South Dakota this afternoon and evening. A few strong to
severe storms will be possible.

Hot temperatures are also forecast today, with the heat index
forecast over 100 degrees this afternoon. A heat advisory is in
effect through 8 pm cdt.

The hot temperatures combined with breezy southerly winds will
push the grassland fire danger into the Very High category this
afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected each day except
Sunday, through early next week. A few strong to severe storms
will be possible on Thursday and Friday.

Spotter activation will not be needed today.
