PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A FAST MOVING WINTER STORM WILL ENTER THE REGION TONIGHT...BRINGING
A PERIOD OF MODERATE SNOW TO MUCH OF NORTHEAST WYOMING AND WESTERN
SOUTH DAKOTA. GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS OVER 40 MPH ARE ALSO EXPECTED
OVER MUCH OF SOUTHWEST THROUGH SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. THE
COMBINATION OF SNOW AND STRONG WINDS WILL BRING A PERIOD OF
GREATLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES DUE TO BLOWING SNOW LATE TONIGHT INTO
TUESDAY MORNING ON PARTS OF THE SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS. GENERALLY 2
TO 4 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED FROM NORTHEAST WYOMING INTO SOUTH
CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IN THE
NORTHERN BLACK HILLS AND IN SOUTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA. HAZARDOUS
TRAVEL CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED IN PORTIONS OF THE
AREA...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOW WILL END TUESDAY ACROSS THE AREA. AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW CAN
BE EXPECTED INTO TUESDAY AFTERNOON...CREATING SIGNIFICANTLY
REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND DRIFTING SNOW. DANGEROUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL
SOUTH DAKOTA...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90.
