...HIGH TIDES WILL CONTINUE...

.PERSISTENT EASTERLY WINDS AND A LARGE TIDAL CYCLE HAVE LED TO
TIDES GENERALLY RUNNING ABOUT 1.0 TO 1.5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL. THESE
EASTERLY WINDS WILL NOT LET UP FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS AND COULD
END UP INCREASING SLIGHTLY. A SWELL IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM
TROPICAL DEPRESSION 9 OVER THE SOUTHEAST GULF OF MEXICO INTO THE
LOCAL MARINE WATERS TODAY. TIDES COULD RUN MORE THAN 2 FEET ABOVE
NORMAL WEDNESDAY AND INTO THURSDAY.

* TIMING...TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING

* IMPACTS...TIDES UP TO 2 FEET ABOVE NORMAL WILL LEAD TO
  INUNDATION OF LOW LYING COASTAL ROADWAYS AND AREAS NOT
  TYPICALLY SUBJECT TO COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDES
  OUTSIDE OF PROTECTION LEVEES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR
FLOODING ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP. COASTAL RESIDENTS SHOULD BE
ALERT FOR LATER STATEMENTS OR WARNINGS...AND TAKE ACTION TO
PROTECT PROPERTY.
